Healthy Lifestyle-Healthy Weight

i got healthier but then got completely lost, and gained half of the weight i had lost. do you this is actually possible for me to get at a healthy weight. maybe it is not my destiny

That just happens sometimes. You just have to keep getting back up and trying again. You make your destiny. If you choose to give up, your destiny will lead you on that path and one day you really might regret it. If you choose to say “I can do this”, then you WILL. You need to find a balance with this lifestyle. Think about why this happened. Were you just getting unmotivated? Were you not treating yourself enough? Really figure out what happened and work on resolving that. You really need to have a positive mindset about this. Otherwise, it won’t happen. I really believe that you can do it. You have to find that strength, keep building on it, keep going, and you will get there. It can be tough, but it’s not supposed to be easy. But you will feel good about it and it will be rewarding. Think about how amazing you’ll feel once you have not only reached a healthy weight, but you are really into a healthy lifestyle. You will feel good inside and out. Think about all of the benefits. Write them down, post it up on the wall!I know you can do it and I want you to know that you can, too. And when you do, I want you to come to me and tell me that you did it. And I will tell you “See, I knew you could do it and I am so proud of you.” Okay? I think support is really important, and I am here for you 100%!Just remember… what I think is really important… treat yourself. I think that’s why a lot of people have slip-ups. If you want something that isn’t healthy, and you really want it, eat it. Eat half of it, eat 2 bites of it. Find your balance with your eating, find your intuitive eating, find your exercise balance. Find your overall healthy lifestyle and life balance, and you will succeed. (: read more..

Sun Salutations

Thanks! But there isn't an order you should follow right? Positions you should do first??

I’m not too sure, but I don’t think so. If you are warming up with yoga before getting more into the poses, you should do sun salutations. In the book I suggested, towards the end of the book it gives you series of poses to do for specific things (like for runners) so you could always go off of that if you wanted. read more..

Yoga Book

heey :) I want to try doing some yoga at home but I not really that video thing so I thought that maybe I could buy a yoga book and copy the positions. Do you think that'll be bad?

Helloooo (: You’re not into doing it with videos? No, I think it’s okay if you’re wanting to do that to start getting into Yoga. Just be sure to do them correctly and breathe correctly. If I may suggest Beth Shaw’s Yogafit. I have it and it’s full of poses, how to do and modify poses, breathing techniques, and more. read more..

I'm 5'7 ish, 17 years old "I weigh 117 lbs is that good? My parents keep telling me I need to lose weight .

I'm 5'7 ish, 17 years old "I weigh 117 lbs is that good? My parents keep telling me I need to lose weight .

Yes, that is good. When I was 15-16 and 5’7” (only 3 cm under 5’8” now), I weighed around that (bounced between 115-118), and my body was still thin. Don’t listen to your parents. That is so rude of them to say. If you are not comfortable with your body, all you need is to eat healthier and do some exercise. That will help tone your body out nicely. There is nothing to worry about though. You are in a good, healthy weight range. Next time they tell you something like that, speak up and tell them that it’s rude and your body is perfect the way it is. read more..

Yoga And Pilates-Videos On Demand-Youtube

I’m not sure if they have it on demand anymore because Exercise Tv shut down but if they still have other videos up, go for it! You can always do some videos on demand and do videos on youtube. Either way works (: read more..

Yoga Routines-Pose

Do you know any yoga routines or poses to slim/tone the inner thighs?

Here’s a few video routines:Pilates - leg slimmingYoga for butt, hips, and thighsYoga tone butt and thighsA few good leg poses I like: Table pose with one leg straight back lunges, hair pose -against wall or not, warrior poses, wide angle pose. Try this warrior flow. Wide angle pose with the arms wrapped around (if you’re flexible enough to do that) is a good workout. read more..

Morning Yoga-Video

if i eat meat after workout good or bad and if you know yoga for morning video on YouTube it 's good ,, and if i make the same video for yoga like morning video it's good or bad thanks a lot

After you work out, lean meat is okay but don’t eat something like steak. Try fish or chicken. Not sure if you’re asking for morning Yoga videos or not, but if so, here’s a few. Morning Yoga for Flexibility, Morning Wake up Yoga, and Morning Yoga in Bed. It’s okay if you use the same video every morning. If you memorize the routine, you will be able to do it on your own, as slow and as long as you’d like without having to use the video. If you feel like you need more of a stretch or want to try new videos, go right ahead. But it is all up to you (: read more..

Healthy Eating-Food Journal-Ibs

After reading your personal page and doing my own research, I think I may have IBS. Has healthy eating and exercise completey gotten rid of it?

I’ve discussed IBS with a follower of mine and how to deal with it, so if you’re interested you can come off of anon and we can talk about that. However, no. There is no way to rid of it because there is no known cure or exact known cause for it, but doctors lean more towards stress being the cause, which also triggers bouts of problems (for me, anyway). A healthy lifestyle has helped it tremendously though. I still get problems but they’re not as severe as they were back when I ate nothing but crap (a year ago, less). Trigger foods will vary from person to person. My first recommendation is starting a food journal, like I described in my page. This will help you to figure out what foods are hurting you, which ones help you, etc. If you see a doctor, they will talk about the problems (this is where the food journal is also very useful), do a blood test, and they will first see if you test positive for celiac disease and maybe a few others things. Though, since there is no known cause or cure, there’s no way to know for sure, like through a test. That will just cross things out as to what it’s not. I’m sure I’ve said too much since this was not the question. Just trying to be helpful haha (: read more..

Yoga For Beginners-Health

Hey! I'd really like to start yoga, and to live healthier.. Do you have any tips on where to begin? Thank you very much! (ps: I admire you so much!)

That sounds great! I wrote up tips for Yoga for Beginners and Health for Beginners. Those are the links to each page, but you can always go back and find it in the FAQ page. That should help. You’re welcome, and thank you as well (: read more..

i've practiced yoga for to year, 2 days a week and where i praticed the asanas were usually light, more stretching. I love yoga but i decided to start gym last month because i wanted to get muscles. But i found video-tutorials and i'm really excited to start yoga at home and every day. i want to know if start doing 30 min whit stretching and strenght exercises would be a good begginning, consideri

30 minutes total of stretching/Yoga and strength workouts… Yes, I think that’s fine! Then you can work in more over time when you feel that you want to. I suggest doing the stretching afterwards. And give yourself at least 1 rest day a week if you’re working out every day. (: read more..
